Though higher priced, we strongly recommend Betts Emergency Valves with Viton-B seals instead of PTFE/Silicone (Tef-O-Sil) seals when used for standard petroleum products, all ethanol products and all Bio-diesel products. Viton-B seals seldom fail during DOT testing and are not affected by minute pieces of sediment like PTFE/Silicone seals are prone to be.
