Gasoila® DEF Soft-Set Thread Sealant

Soft setting sealant for tough applications. Designed for systems carrying urea-based chemical reactant used in SCR systems (DEF).

  • Excellent performance with systems handling Diesel Exhaust Fluid, 100% methanol, ethanol, alcohol and ideal for concentrated or dilute acids and caustic alkali, compressed air, aromatic solvents, glycol / water solutions, coal tar, naphtha, cutting oils, ethylene glycol and ketones.
  • NOT for use on ethanol blended gasoline. (Less than 100% ethanol).
  • NOT for use on plastic pipe or oxygen.
  • Use on thoroughly clean, dry threads.
  • Temperature Range: -50ºF to 450ºF (-46ºC to 234ºC).
  • Pressure Range: To 5,000 psi for gases; to 10,000 psi for liquids.
  • One year shelf life when stored at 40ºF to 80ºF (5ºC to 27ºC).
  • Use on epoxy type fiberglass pipe manufactured by A.O. Smith, Ameron, Fibercast and Antron.
  • For use on NPT Threads.

Gasoila® E-Seal Thread Sealant Soft-Set with PTFE

  • Non-hardening, non-toxic, opaque, dark green paste designed specifically for ethanol blended gasoline including E10 and E85 Note: (for 100% ethanol or 100% methanol applications - use Gasoila 100).
  • Provides a positive seal on pipe threads, joints, fittings, hoses, nozzles, pump assemblies, oil burners, hydraulics, bolts, compressors, engines, motors, fuel lines and couplings.
  • For use on brass, copper, stainless steel, aluminum, black pipe, tin and galvanized pipe.
  • Excellent resistance to gasoline, ethanol blended gasoline such as E10 and E85, petroleum solvents, kerosene diesel oil, Bio Diesel propane, butane, LPG, cutting oils, ammonia, aliphatic solvents, acids and steam.
  • NOT for use on oxygen.
  • Temperature Range: -100ºF to 600ºF (-74ºC to 318ºC).
  • Pressure Range: Up to 10,000 psi when sealing liquids and up to 3,000 psi with gases.
  • UL Classified.

Soft-setting, black sealant works where conventional thread sealants fail.
